Vivaldi: L’Estro Armonico Concerto no. 8 in a minor for 2 violins 1st mvt – arr. for 7 melodicas

For my second Vivaldi arrangement, I only needed to rewrite a small segment of the solo First Violin part, due to problems transferring the distinctive bowed patterns to a keyboard instrument. I also encountered 4 high F’s in the Cello part that I needed to cover on the Alto Melodica (my Bass doesn’t go that high). Unlike the arrangement of the third movement, I have here chosen to include the entire tutti First and Second Violin parts, making this a true 7-part piece. In addition, I have added a keyboard continuo with chords being played on the Alto Melodica. For this video, players are (from left to right): Violin Solo I, Violin Solo II, Viola, Cello.
