Hi Kevin. It's a pretty tight fit and needs to be pressed on, because it will need to hold itself and trust me, you don't want it to sit too loose. If you ordered the right year, than there is no reason it shouldn't fit. It is pretty tight though. I fastened the rubber and then glued afterwards, I think. At least on one side until I got used to it. You could also take a practice run before you glue. Good luck!

Hi I am ready to install TMI carpet in my '78 vert. I am wondering how the edges on the door sill were put into place. The rubber carpet edging seems a little thin to accept the rounded metal lip on the sill. Any other thoughts to help would be great before we get started.
Thanks
