This is an antique Steinway & Sons baby grand in Mahogany, that I just got home today. It was hand crafted in Hamburg in 1908 and somehow made it over here where it came into possession of a private person. She then died and left it to her son, who had planned on learning to play, but never did and therefore decided to sell it. He sent it to the Piano store in Odense where it basically lived in the basement. I happened to come across it one day in a dusty corner and asked about it. We struck a pretty good deal, based on the fact that it would remain in original condition (no cosmetic work to be done) but that the keyboard would be regulated and the mechanics fixed. So 1 year later, it’s in my living room, and I am thrilled.
